Dorothy W. Courington, II (Dottie) is a Savannah native who received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Sweet Briar College in 1972. She then received her J.D. degree cum laude from the University of Georgia in 1977, where she served as Research Editor of the Georgia Law Review. She is a member of the Savannah Bar Association and the State Bar of Georgia. Ms. Courington has concentrated her practice in the areas of commercial banking, corporate law, real estate and estate planning. She is the author of “Capital Formation in Small Businesses: Considerations” published in the Georgia State Bar Journal. More recently, she was named “New Changes to Guardianship Code” in the Savannah Bar Association’s Citation. Ms. Courington stays very active in the Savannah community.
