John C. Kane

John Kane, retired chief operating officer, president and former board member of Ohio-based Cardinal Health, spent most of his 35-year career in the health care industry. In three-and-a-half decades, he held various executive positions with medical manufacturers and suppliers, and served on the board of six companies and more than a dozen not-for-profit organizations.

During his eight years with Cardinal Health, Mr. Kane served as part of the management team that helped develop Cardinal Health from a regional medical wholesaler with $1.8 billion in revenue to an integrated healthcare provider with more than $40 billion in revenue.

Mr. Kane, who moved to Savannah in 2001 from Columbus, Ohio, is an executive advisor for Wind Point Partners, and a previous advisor for KBL Healthcare and Ariel Savannah Angel Partners. Active in the local community, Mr. Kane currently serves on the Board of Directors for the United Way of the Coastal Empire, and on committees for the Savannah Foundation, Bethesda Home for Boys and Skidaway Community Institute.

He graduated from West Chester State University in West Chester, Pa., and served six years in the United States Navy.
