Mr. Wright is an Atlanta attorney whose family has lived in the Savannah area since 1733. Both of his parents were native Savannahians, and he maintains a second home there. He currently serves as general counsel to Resource Healthcare of America, Inc. and its affiliates ("RHA") and provides legal and consulting services to four community-based non profit student housing organizations. RHA is a non-profit organization based in Atlanta, Georgia that owns and operates numerous long-term care and housing facilities in eight states. Prior to joining RHA, Mr. Wright practiced law with Alston & Bird, LLP and a predecessor firm in Atlanta for 29 years and was the partner in charge of the public finance practice group for much of that period. Mr. Wright holds both undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Georgia, and served as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Navy. He is a former director of the National Association of Bond Lawyers, and is involved in several Savannah social and cultural organizations, including the Oglethorpe Club, Saint Andrews Society, Society of the Cincinnati of the State of Georgia, Society of the Colonial Wars in the State of Georgia, and the Georgia Historical Society.
