1.The Island Club is the primary social gathering location for residents of The Marshes of Skidaway Island. Its 27,000 square feet includes four elegant and casual dining venues, ballroom, private dining rooms, bar/lounge area, card room, library, activity room and "Magnolia's," our on-site store. As you walk through this lovely clubhouse, take notice of the first-class design features evident in the architecture and interior design.
2.The Veranda Card Room is the location for many a round of bridge, poker, or other various card and board games. Residents often have their own personal card groups over to play at The Marshes as well. Monthly birthday parties, Discussion Groups, and visiting authors also take advantage of this lovely room.
3.Nestled among the live oaks is the perfect place to stop and smell the flowers. Similar in design to a quaint downtown Savannah square, The Park at The Marshes of Skidaway Island is a place for enjoying neighbors, strolling the brick paths, reading a good book, playing croquet, putting on the green or simply listening to the fountain nearby.
4.The Telfair, Forsyth and Oglethorpe - Three exquisitely decorated dining rooms separated by fireplaces are breathtaking features of The Island Club. Each having its own inviting design welcomes our residents as they join their friends for a special meal overlooking the gorgeous marshes of Skidaway Island. 5.The Oaks Health Center is our new full-service facility providing Assisted Living, Comprehensive Care, Memory Care, Skilled Nursing, and Rehabilitation services. Our "Resident Centered Care" program provides the latest approaches in health care along with personalized activity programs, attentive staff and friendly neighbors. The Oaks offers a 243-hour nursing staff as well as on-site therapy. Amenities include private dining room, library, media room, and salon. Residents of The Marshes of Skidaway Island have the peace of mind of knowing that quality health care is only yards away.
6.The Library and Reading Room are the perfect places to find and enjoy those favorite books. Many residents volunteer to help with all the details that make this venue a warm, special place.
7.The perfect gathering place for friends and family is The Island Club Lounge and Veranda. Whether enjoying a favorite game on the flat screen TVs or relaxing on the beautifully decorated screen porch, many residents meet here to share special times. The lounge serves a large array of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and choices are also available in the various dining rooms in The Island Club.
8.Whenever residents choose to dance the night away, catch a popular movie, participate in a bridge tournament, take an exercise class, or attend a resident meeting, the Azalea Ballrooms are their destination. A dance floor is assembled easily for the fabulous parties we are known for at The Marshes of Skidaway Island.
9.The Bistro is the site of a la carte dining at its best! Always a popular spot for exciting, informal dining, residents enjoy mingling in the inviting surroundings, while dining on casual delectable fare. Al fresco dining is quite popular and the lovely umbrellas and tables invite diners to the perfect outdoor spot to see all the "goings and comings" at The Marshes of Skidaway Island.
10.The best spot for keeping in Shape! The Palmetto Club is located just inside the Guard Gate and is the first structure one sees upon entering the community. Hobby areas, including a greenhouse, crafts center and woodworking shop are all located here. You will also find a heated, indoor pool, Jacuzzi, fitness center and The Salon, where friendly professionals provide convenient salon services right within our lovely community.
11.Our large, multi-purpose Recreation Room is perfect for just about anything and everything. For example, a wonderful group gathers for Line Dancing here twice weekly, and the AARP Driver's Class has met here several times. The Recreation Room is available for classes that include painting, photography, exercise, Pilates, and small group meetings.
